Sewing panels together |
After cutting all of the pieces out I decided I would zig zag stich them together instead of serging. Why I did this I don't know. It wasted a lot of my time. I had to be extra careful of the fabric snagging in my machine. Then I top stitched several of the pieces just for the extra touch, it wasn't a part of the pattern. Once I had sewn the panels together I decided to switch to using my serger to finish sewing the pants. So much faster!
Time to sew the crotch seam |
While I used a commercial pattern to save me some time, I still wanted the pants to fit me well, especially since I will be wearing them after the race is finished. They'll be a very addition of color to my closet! Once I was done sewing the pants I decided to switch gears and move on to my pie crust inspired vest. I will save the sports bra for another time in the future.
